If you aren't familiar with Band De Soleil, this band was the musical creation of Michelle Malone. They played a variety of styles, but on Redemption Dream they focused on bluesy rock and roll with riveting intensity. In addition to Michelle's amazing vocals, Band De Soleil also highlighted her searing guitar work and well-honed songwriting abilities. Over the years folks have been inspired by Michelle's musicality, her command of the electric guitar and her classic voice. This band and album are an important part of Michelle Malone's continuing evolution. According to Cover magazine, it was "probably the most solid, uplifting, straightforward album of 1994." Of course, Michelle continues her journey and influence with multiple releases on her own label SBS Records.
