Bambi Valentino was a temporary name used by Experimental Pop musician Maddy Ellwanger. She used the name on all her social media and released three songs under it between 2019 and 2020, before in 2023 declaring that Bambi Valentino was dead and that she wanted to be Maddy again. Her first single as Bambi Valentino was "Like It Rough," a Western-style Pop Rock song which remains her most popular to date. It was followed by "Christmas Kiss," a re-release of a Christmas song she had originally posted to Bandcamp and YouTube as Maddy Ellwanger. Her third and final release was "Mexicali Rose," an upbeat, jazzy love song that sounded unlike anything she had ever released before. All three songs were available on streaming services until being taken down sometime in 2023, and re-released under the Maddy Ellwanger name. "Like It Rough" in particular was renamed "Like It Rough (Demo)" and given new cover art, which makes it likely that she considers this version unfinished, and is going to re-record it at some point. On September 13, 2023, she released a music video for "Like It Rough (Demo)," filmed at Burning Bike, a festival in Florida in which a large wooden motorbike is burned, in a similar vein to Burning Man.
