about

BALLET IMPERIAL is an alternative pop/rock four-piece who formed in mid 2006. Jamie Timony (Vocals, Synthesizer) Jeffrey Walker (Guitar, Vocals), Angus McLaren (Drums) and Will Shepherd (Bass) came together whilst shooting a Channel Ten television series on the Gold Coast, Australia. The four boys forged a strong friendship and together began playing music. With no great desire to play covers, the band began writing original songs, and with them, created a fresh and distinctive style. BALLET IMPERIAL’s sound is unmistakable - a rock/dance melancholic fusion of interesting instrumentation and arrangement, addictive melodies along with haunting, often introspective lyrics. This combo makes for a striking yet accessible catalogue of songs with an acute pop sensibility and an electric energy. The boys have just recorded a four track, self-titled EP which has been picked up by MGM Green for distribution in JULY 2007!
