Balcony For a Ghost is a folk music project of composer Jason Sippel and Nicholas Garcia. They met in school and played in several bands separately in Kankakee IL before finally working together in 2009. The band started when Jason asked Nicholas for recording advice. Nicholas was inspired to bring his cello in and shared some ideas. The debut EP On a Whim was recorded in Jason's house in Kankakee. They also began playing live together in the Chicago land area soon after. In 2010 Jason moved to Beijing China and is currently attempting to put a band together with local Beijing artists. Nicholas is working on his own project Nikku Neko from Kankakee.
