Backyard Babies are a Swedish rock band originally from Nässjö and currently based in Stockholm. The band was formed in 1987 and has released eight studio albums, winning two Swedish Grammy Awards. They are associated with the popularization of sleaze rock in Scandinavia and Sweden. Their single "Minus Celsius" appears as a playable bonus track in "Guitar Hero III: Legends of Rock," and "Degenerated" is available as a downloadable song for "Guitar Hero World Tour." The band changed their name to Backyard Babies in 1989, recording two demos and completing a national tour of Sweden. Their self-released debut EP "Something to Swallow" came out in 1991, leading to a contract with Swedish label Megarock Records in 1993. The debut album "Diesel & Power" was released in 1994, blending rock, punk, and blues influences. The single "Electric Suzy" included a cover of "Taxi Driver" by Hanoi Rocks as its B-side. Following a hiatus during which Dregen joined The Hellacopters, the band reunited in 1997 with a contract with MVG Records. Their critically acclaimed album "Total 13" drew comparisons to the New York Dolls, Ramones, and The Damned. Singles from the album included "Bombed (Out of My Mind)" with the B-side "Rocker," featuring Michael
