BEAR HAT!!!!!! is the solo acoustic project started by Sarah Hersey in 1987 upon her graduation from Hamtown High. The project has taken many stylistic turns over the past couple of years but she has recently found her niche in writing songs about the fathers of children who live in Davie, Florida. Generally songs about eccentric fathers who are keepers of the law, ukulele virtuosos and other oddities. Her main influences come from the side projects she has contributed too such as local noise-grind band Stalin, and indie fuck project Self-Esteem Team.
