There are more than one band that go by the name B-Side Band. Three of them are mentioned below. 1. B-Side Band The B-Side Band from Tauranga play their brand of blues and roots music with a home grown ‘kiwi’ flavour. Combining amped-up acoustic guitar, passionate soulful harmonica and raunchy saxophone, with shared vocals, solo plus rockabilly drum-kit, they play up a storm. These guys have been together since 2005. “Energetic jukebox melodies, rhythm & blues and rockabilly tunes. The blues have never been this upbeat. Their repertoire comes from the 20th century through to the present. They play originals too. They are: Paul Parkhouse: vocals/harmonicas/saxophone. Simon Elton: vocals/acoustic & electric guitars. Carl Winter: rockabilly drum kit & percussion. In 2007 they played the Rotorua Summer Wine & Food Festival, Tauranga Easter Jazz Festival, and the Rotorua Winter Blues Festival. In 2008 they played the Mount Maunganui Summer Blues, Brews & BBQs Festival. The audience was over 10,000 revelers. They also played, for the second year in a row, the Tauranga Easter Jazz Festival.
