Timo Benz was born in Germany in 1981. His career as a musician started at the age of 8 when he began training instrumental music. This he did for 13 years. Electronic sounds interested him from an early age and has been fascinating him ever since. His first efforts with turntables started at home when he was 16. It has since developed into his very own personal dj-style: club-oriented ambitious Techno-music. Very soon he had his first gigs. In 1999 Timo Benz began his first music productions. First and foremost he wanted to create a variety of high quality music. His use of different software and hardware combined with his experience has led to creation of various styles: from harmonic and melodic Ambient to hard and progressive Techno. In July 2004 the first Techno release was finally issued on the sub-label Gangbang Records part of Decomplex Audio. This was followd by other releases on different labels such as Strøm Rec. or Drumworks. Within the last years Timo produced also a lot of tracks in collaborations, e.g. with Plan-E, Chris Binder or the brazilian Techno god DJ Murphy. The most important collabo in Techno-Music is Druckwerk with Timo Benz and André Vanox with their first release in November 2007 on Ian Void′s label Intravenous Cuts. You will definitely hear more about this project in the future. In 2006 Timo did his first steps in producing Ambient and Chill-Out Music. The Tracks will be published under the pseudonym Axora.
