Enrico Eisert, former of Axon Neuron/Vagwa, started in 1995 under the name Thorn. Soon after he renamed the project into Axon Neuron and released several tapes on the self founded label Ragnarune until 1997. In 1997 he collaborated with the project Weisskreuz, a founder member of the group S.K.E.T.. Together with Nikolas Mosch he created the noise music project Vagwa in 1998. After some recordings he combined both project names to Axon Neuron/Vagwa. In 1998 the first Axon Neuron/Vagwa release "Torrents Of Hagalaz" (MC/CDr) was released on Ragnarune, followed by the tape "Thorned Messages" in 2000. Most of the Axon Neuron/Vagwa releases were issued on very limited edition tapes and CDr on Ragnarune. In 2002 the first vinyl EP was released on the Berlin based label Eternal Soul Records in form of the 10" "Lohe" which presented four dark ambient/neoclassical pieces. From now on Axon Neuron/Vagwa appeared live as band with members from the Neofolk group Aurum Nostrum on drums, synthesizer and vocals. In 2005 the retrospective collection "Documents 1995 – 2005" was released as a double CD on Eternal Soul Records as well. In 2007 Axon Neuron/Vagwa started to release their backcatalogue and new recordings on the CDr series "Archive" via Ragnarune which contains three parts. In 2009 a very limited "Archive" boxset is announced to be released on Eternal Soul Records/Ragnarune.
