There are three bands named Awkward Silence, an alternative/indie band from Pennsylvania, a metal band from California, aswell as a death metal band from Red Deer Alberta. This is about the band from Scranton, PA. Awkward Silence has been a band for over 5 years now, playing all throughout the northeast tri-state area. They have opened for acts such as The Ataris, Bayside, I Am the Avalanche, Drop Dead, Gorgeous, Folley, Roark, and Jet Lag Gemini. In June of 2009. they released their debut full length album under Radial Noise Records, entitled "Break."
