Awarapan (Hindi: आवारापन, Urdu: آوارہ پن) is a 2007 Indian film from the makers of one of the biggest musical hits, Woh Lamhe. The film is a remake of the 2005 Korean film A Bittersweet Life. It stars Emraan Hashmi, Shriya Saran and Mrinalini Sharma. Awarapan released in India on Jun 29, 2007. The movie was released under the banner of Vishesh Films. The movie was produced by Vishesh Films as well as a Pakistani production house and was directed by Indian director Mohit Suri. It can be said the movie was a first joint production between India and Pakistan. The movie was given clearance for screening in Pakistan by the Pakistan Film Censor Board and was released on July 6, 2007.
