Piccola Orchestra Avion Travel is an Italian pop-jazz group from Caserta, formed in 1980. After a rock music debut letting them win the grand prix at "Festival di Sanremo" in 1987, the group publishes in 1992 the "Belloscguardo" album, that signs their personal artistic change to a new type of music, the main feature of the group. In 1999, Avion Travel participated in the “Festival di Sanremo”, “Big” section, with “Dormi e sogna” (sleep and dream), that let them win the Critics and Quality Panel (Michal Nyman, English composer, as chairman) Award as “Best Music” and “Best Arrangement”. At the beginning of January 1999, Avion Travel work with Italian actor Fabrizio Bentivoglio, on a 30 minutes short called "Tipota". The screenplay is written together with Peppe Servillo, who plays as actor, as well as Domenico Ciaramella and Fausto Mesolella, the group’s drummer and guitarist. On the 6th and 7th of May of the same year, Avion Travel bring on the scene, in Milan, the act "La Guerra vista dalla Luna" (War seen by the moon), directed by Sergio Rubini. The next year Avion Travel returns to the “Festival di Sanremo” and wins again: the "Sentimento" song won prizes for both the "Best Music" and "Best Arrangement" arrangements. The “Poco mossi gli altri bacini” album is the group's new milestone, that includes for the first time female voices: Peppe Servillo performs in duets with Elisa and Caterina Caselli. On January 26, 2007, their 14th album named “Danson Metropoli – canzoni
