about

Avi is a singer-songwriter. Based in the Pilgrim's City of Canterbury, she has performed solo her beautifully crafted original songs for over 7 years. Combining acoustic guitar with delicate and powerful vocals, her performances create a uniquely intimate, emotionally charged and joyful atmosphere like no other. Her first EP You Said ‘Live’ was released at The Gulbenkian Theatre, Canterbury, in April 2016. Her next solo EP, Hey Why, is a firecracker follow up due for release early in 2018. Avi is committed to telling stories, be it her own or the stories of others. Her solo work pulls the listener into an inevitable journey, and it is no surprise that her emotive voice and poetic lyrics have also found a home in theatre. Avi performed at the 2017 Edinburgh Festival as a musician and songwriter in two theatre shows, which both received 5 star reviews and high praise from press, industry and audience alike. Avi featured as one of two performers in both, expressing her passion for honesty, poetry, and vulnerability in live performance.
