Avery Plains is an alternative pop/rock band from Groningen, The Netherlands. Energetic melancholic songs that wander through the history of rock music. Melodies, noise, dark country, intimacy, wall of sound, a sense of psychedelia. Founded by Jurgen Veenstra and Ruud Slingerland, Avery Plains' first release was a 7" single, 'The Gloomy Ones' (April 2013). A second single, 'Smells Like Trombone', was released digitally in January 2015, followed by the band's eponymous début full-length in March 2015.
