Artist
Bay Area hip hop producer and DJ Authentiq started making beats around 2003, creating elaborate sample collages from scratch. "I was just a kid that liked loud noises and spray paint. I never thought I would be involved in the music business. Simply out of boredom, I started messing around on this program Acid. From there, my passion just grew and grew." After realizing how much he loved making music, specifically the engineering and mixing side, he began taking courses at his local community for both music production and music theory, where he was introduced to MIDI and professional mixing software. After several years of studying, practicing, networking and collaborating, Authentiq has built up a small community of like-minded individuals, a recording studio, and a substantial catalog of alternative hip hop music. Expect Authentiq's highly anticipated first album "The Authentiq Mix CD #1" to drop early 2010. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
