Autharktos is a sound experimentator from Estonia. He gets his idiosyncratic sound mainly from manipulating analog cassette players, simple low-end synthesizers, sampling unit, digital effects, field recordings and a wide array of artifacts around him. He started out in the end of 90s and finished off in 2005. And embarked on in 2012 again. However, at least a dozen of tapes awaiting to be released sometime in the future. Aivar Tõnso, a lead figure in the Estonian experimental music scene described it once as "lo-fi experimental psychedelia".
