Aurélien Duval (born on January 06, 1985 in Mireval, near Montpellier) is a French singer. Music has always been an important part of Aurélien’s being. As a child, he was a keen singer, taking every opportunity he was given from singing at church to the school choir. This passion for music led him to begin recording at a very young age. He began modestly. At the age of 13 Aurélien improvised with the materials at hand using tape recorders and eventually developed a more professional technique, using computer programmes. At the age of 16 Aurélien teamed up with fellow students at Saint Joseph College to form the group Timid’ Rock, of which, Aurélien was the lead singer. The group earned themselves a name as a live performing act when they started touring Southern France and Spain, playing small shows and performing cover songs for the most part. In 2003, after two years with Timid’ Rock, Aurélien decided to finish his studies in photography, putting his music career on the back burner for a while. Finished with his studies, Aurélien joined the stage of La Commedia, a French cabaret theatre in Montpellier, where he performed covers from Mike Briant to The Beatles as well as introducing his own songs. As a song writer Aurélien already has an impressive catalogue to his name, with more than 40 songs penned.
