audio_z aka Tautvydas Bajarkevicius Interview for SIP - SoundLAB Interview project audio_z is a solo project by Tautvydas Bajarkevièius (b. 1981), curator of annual roject ‘Garso zona’ (‘Audio zone’, www.smic.lt/gz), which represents Lithuanian scene of sound art/ experimental electronics/experimental video. As a curator, artist and theoretitian active in he fields of sound art, experimental music, new media, creative commons, open content, etlabels, art theory/critics, spoken words, weblogs, experimental radio/internet broadcasting. Under the name audio_z, Tautvydas Bajarkevièius takes part in various new edia/experimental electronic music/sound art events/projects/live performances. Such as Avanto (Helsinki, orkshop Clicks, Cuts and Critical Noises), PixelAche (Helsinki, radio-art workshop Particle ave), RAM 6 (Re-Approaching New Media - as co-organizer, - Vilnius), Centras (annual multimedia estival in Kaunas, as curator and artist) and others. Published a bunch of publications – ssays, theoretical works, interviews – mostly concerning new media, sound art, electronic music and contemporary art.
