Facebook: http://www.facebook.com/akao.music Atsuya Akao (赤尾充弥; 1980-) is a singer, player of melodica (blow-organ with keyboards) and composer from Tokyo, Japan, whose career was started in 2002. His works were influenced by synthpop or new wave at the beginning, later combined with ethnic music, classical music, or new age. He has come to use some effects pedals for melodica since around 2005. The sound of melodica with effects is now one of the most remarkable features of his works. He is not only engaged in his solo works but also participates in the Japanese new age group The Punky’s Dilemma as a player of melodica. In addition, he was the bassist of the Japanese alternative rock band Plat Home Nine and other some bands formerly.
