Artist
Atlas Collapses is a melodic rock band from Vancouver Island. David Sponaugle sings and plays guitar. Paul Cimolini plays bass. Booth White plays the drums. These three childhood friends came together formally in 2010, and have been gaining momentum ever since. Each member brings his own musical aesthetic and musical history to the group. Collectively, they have shared the stage with artists such as Thrice, Alanis Morissette, Wide Mouth Mason, The Trews, Tegan and Sarah, and ZZ Top. Their self-titled debut album, recorded at the renowned Audities Foundation in Calgary under the watchful ears of producer Jim Blair and engineer David Kean, is available now. The album was recorded using a combination of modern digital technology and old school analog studio gear. It was recorded to tape and utilizes Audities' collection of rare historical instruments, as well as many of the most important pieces from recording history.
