A.M.P are a three-piece band/studio project totally devoted to the sounds of conscious Roots Reggae and Dub music. The bands main source of inspiration in terms of sound comes from the European Dub Sound-Systems following the Jamaican tradition of the mobile discothèque, with a special interest in the UK Dub sound. The A.M.P sound combines New-Roots and Old-School Dub elements. After years of gigging as a live band in Greece (many of those times in hard to reach places around the countryside) the focus shifted towards the mastering of studio production processes. Combining vintage analogue audio gear (some with custom modifications) fused together with modern digital techniques and equipment their live performances involve improvisation and live instruments (Elec. Guitar, Melodica, Percussion, Synthesizers, Samplers and Vocals) delivered on stage with techniques and processes usually found in the recording studio.
