Post hardcore from Pharr, TX. "The band Astrophix, which is pronounced (uh-straw-fix), began with a pair of brothers covering various alternative/punk-rock songs. It wasn't until the brothers Rudy and Xavie incorporated Rigo on second guitar that they began creating original music. After a few years and countless bassists and singers, they turned to old childhood friends named Marcus & Carlos who shared the same passion as the 3 band members. With a bassist and a vocalist on board, they were ready to begin a brand new chapter in the Astrophix book. After the release of "The Play Is Cast" EP, the band decided to take their music to the next level and dedicated every available weekend to writting and practicing their craft. The new ep which was recorded in Hollywood, CA is a giant step for Astrophix. With a more defined and mature sound, the self titled EP will be available to the public December 26th 2007. Its only been a year and a few months but the connection between these five brothers is undeniably strong, from childhood friends to growing artists they don't seem to be slowing down anytime soon."
