French Cellist born in 1988 in Lyon, Astrig Siranossian joined the Conservatoire National Supérieur de Musique de Lyon at the age of fifteen and completed her graduate studies there with the congratulations of the jury in 2009. The following year she joined Professor Ivan Monighetti's class at the Hochschüle in Basel, where she is now studying further for her master's degree in soloist. Throughout her career, she has received advice from masters such as Gary Hoffmann, Marcio Carneiro, Truls Mørk, Janos Starker and Tibor Varga. Astrid plays on a cello dating from the end of the 17th century, made by the famous luthier from Cremona, Francesco Ruggieri.
