Askur Yggdrasils''' is an Icelandic metal band, formed in January 2007 by Stinni and Pálmar. Askur Yggdrasils was formed under the name Yggdrasil but it was changed 13. March 2007. The Band started with only Stinni and Pálmar. Stinni played guitar and used a drum machine and Pálmar sung. Davíð Már and Arnar Ingólfs joined in October 2007 and Stinni decided to drum for a while. In December 2007 Óli Baldur started to play drums and Stinni played guitar and Dabbi started on bass. Late in December Arnar Ingólfs quit the band because of some musical differences. In May Pálmar quit and the band took a break for a while until they could find a replacement. In May Iron Age: Volume 1 a compilation cd was released with Askur Yggdrasils song Surviving The Resistance. In July 2008 Viktor Freyr replaced Pálmar as the front man of the band. Late in October 2008 Askur Yggdrasils split. Askur Yggdrasils reunited on 13.January 2010 with new line up Davíð Már moved to his old instrument guitar, Jóhann Víðir joined and played bass. Óli Baldur left the band and Valdimar replaced him on drums. 26.February Viktor took his final gig with Askur Yggdrasils and Stinni took over the vocals and the same night Valdimar quit, Finnur replaced him on drums. 2. Oktober 2 new members joined Askur Yggdrasils, the singer Viktor Penalver and Stebbi keyboardist.
