Ashka is a female fronted metal band formed in 2007. Led by Syhem (vocals), Laurent (guitar), Fernand (bass) & Eric (drums), it blends a variety of genres which brings to mind everything from death metal to rock . The instrumental parts mix brutal and melodic sounds while clear singing voice alternates with growling vocals. Ashka released its first demo “The Romance has an end” and the video "Asylum" directed by Franck Stella in May 2007. Until March 2008, the band performed live in Paris & suburbs (Trabendo, Boule Noire, Gibus, L'Empreinte, L'Espace B, le Klub, Capitol Studio, etc…). Its second demo “Breathe” had been recorded this summer with a DVD. Syhem joined Ashka on December 2008 as lead singer alternating clear singing & growling vocals.
