Formed in 2006, As In Happy was an Alternative Folk band hailing from Winnipeg Manitoba. Founding members Ray Jaworski and Stephen Prevost started making music after Prevost had left Winnipeg to pursue new things in Vancouver. They started sharing their early works, bouncing ideas off of each other. In late 2004 they formed the satirical band 'The Legend of the Rent'. While it was good song writing experience for the two, it only went so far musically. In early 2005, the idea for 'As In Happy' was first introduced, remaining just an idea due to the limiting situation. They stopped collaborating for a short period so they could both grow as musicians, numerous demo recordings from this period exist. Some songs written during their period as solo artists later came to As In Happy. In late 2006, Stephen headed back to Winnipeg and the idea of 'As In Happy' was quickly brought back to life. Upon arriving the two began working together, and recording a few of rough demos. They later brought André Gomes on board, and recorded a demo cd in the summer of 2007. They went their separate ways in 2008, however Gomes and Prevost would work together on Prevost's now project 'Post War England' which is still ongoing.
