Arturo Fuentes

Born in Mexico City in 1975, Arturo Fuentes is a resident of Austria, having come to Europe in 1997, and commenced composition studies in Milan with Franco Donatoni the same year. Later he moved to Paris to pursue a PhD with Horacio Vaggione. In Mexico he studied at the CIEM and with Juan Trigos. He undertook projects at IRCAM (Paris), the Experimentalstudio (Freiburg), the ZKM Center for Art and Media (Karlsruhe) and the ISTC (Institute for Computer Music and Sound Technology, Zurich). His work, frequently presented at international festivals in Europe, encompasses instrumental and electroacoustic music as well as dance and music theatre projects featuring video and electronics.
