Artist
Arttu Huopainen (b. 1998) is a Finnish jazz drummer, composer, and bandleader originally from Hamina. He is a graduate of the Sibelius Academy (University of the Arts Helsinki), where he recently completed his master's degree in jazz. Musical Career & Projects South-East Corner: Huopainen leads this jazz ensemble, which debuted in late 2024. Their music is inspired by his roots in southeastern Finland and features a unique lineup of two saxophones, double bass, and drums. Debut Album: His first album under Flame Jazz Records, also titled South-East Corner, was released on January 30, 2026.
