The Arts Vs Entertainment Ensemble was initially the namesake creative endeavor of the Arts Vs Entertainment label based in Lansing, MI and New York, NY. AvEE started out as a loose and largely anonymous collaboration in early 2008 with their first, self-titled, collage-style debut, but the group soon became essentially a side project of the Lansing band Fields of Industry. The recordings are primarily improvisational, experimental music with a wide variety of instrumentation. Free releases are posted on the label's blog along with releases by other Arts Vs Entertainment projects: artsvsentertainment.blogspot.com.
