Artists in Revolt formed in April 2009. The band is a three-member piece, consisting of a DJ and two guitarists, who have all been involved in various different musical projects (Jakuzi´s Attempt, Cameran, Rapublic, aniemoation, wit´the movement, primzahl). Artists In Revolt’s music – due to their uncommon line-up – ranges from Hip Hop to Metal, using elements of Jungle, Dubstep, Rock and Noise. They draw their influences from French chanson as well as from South-London street preachers. The turntable as an instrument is equivalent to the guitar. Since their beginning the band has played several shows all over Austria.
