Artificial Joy Club was an alternative rock band which formed in Ottawa, Ontario, Canada in 1993. The band consisted of Louise Reny (vocals), Michael Goyette (guitar), Leslie Howe (guitar, keyboards), Tim Dupont (bass), and Andrew Lamarche (drums). The band was originally called Sal's Birdland, and released two albums under that name before changing their name to Artificial Joy Club in 1996. Reny and Howe formerly recorded as the dance-pop duo One to One, and Howe produced Alanis Morrissette's first two albums.
