Arthur Petties (his surname is sometimes listed as Pettis) was a fine Mississippi country blues guitar player and singer with an expressive and versatile voice. He is known for only six sides, two of which were recorded on February 14, 1928 in Memphis, TN, for Victor Records, while the remaining four were tracked two apiece in Chicago, IL, on July 25 and October 7, 1930, for Brunswick Records.
