There are two artists named Arrakeen. 1. Trance producer, Arrakeen, is Aaron Jiang, originally born in Singapore now living in the United States. This Arrakeen has two releases as of 01/01/10, "Sunset on Venice" and "The First Coming." 2. Progressive rock band, Arrakeen, was one of the few progressive rock bands of the new French generation, obtaining international recognition. Very close to the style of Marillion (their idols), the music Arrakeen is driven by the guitarist Sylvain Gourvernaire, also known as Iris, whose album will follow the short life of Arrakeen. Driven by the soprano voice of Maiko, Arrakeen they distilled a great Neo Progressive rock sound, and it is unfortunate that success did not follow ... Arrakeen released two CDs: Patchwork and Mosaïque. In Patchwork, Steve Rothery (Marillion) played on the recording of the live album.
