Arnold Børud (born October 28, 1947) is a Norwegian composer, musician, singer and songwriter. He has led choirs Across, Mini TVs, and has been one of the group Fresh Air. Together with his family, he has been part of Børud gang and Arnold B Family. Arnold Børud is trained as a teacher and living in Grimstad, and is employed at the Bible School in Grimstad. For his work with song and music, he was in the autumn of 2008 the King's Medal of Merit in gold. It was the late 1960s, in Copenhagen, on a shopping trip on Strøget that Arnold heard Edwin Hawkins, with the song Oh, happy day when Jesus washed my sins away. From then on (American) gospel music a part of life. Later, he was strongly influenced by the music of Andrae Crouch. At first, Arnold appeared as singing evangelist. He met some resistance in the chapel environment for its contemporary music styles while bringing a non-traditional musical instruments, like percussion and bass.
