The band was born in Bologna, Italy in 2007 but the three musicians in it had all played key roles in other significant line-ups before its conception. Stefania Centonze, singer of Armoteque, used to sing in an all- female rock band named Mumble Rumble, guitar player Gian Luca Gaiba performed electronic music with Shiranami and Federico Bologna played keyboards in Technogod. The music of Armoteque, inspired by British trip-hop of the 90’s and combined with electronic pop songs, creates intense atmospheres soaked in dark colours and sensual moves. In 2010 they released the debut album Find Position with the label “Le Arti Malandrine” and in 2011 they signed a management deal with MusicalBox.
