Armadillo Texas was an underground band from Mainz. They existed in the late seventies to mid eighties. They played a mixture of progressive and funk rock and released an LP called "Huch!" (Oops!) in 1980. The band was very undiscovered for a long time, probably also because they never appeared in Schneeball lists, the only reference to the label is on the insert of the LP. That's why it was only listed as "Not on Label" on Discogs until recently. In the big encyclopedia "The Crack in the Cosmic Egg" the band doesn't appear so far either, in the latest version (2020) it is mentioned briefly. They toured until 1985, but there is also a live recording from 1988 on the solo CD of guitarist Martin Wester "Wrobltschĕk". After the band split up, Arnulf Schmittlein played with the Alternative Rock band "Carlof", who released a CD. Martin Wester released some solo LPs and founded the "Klangraum" label.
