www.armadamusic.com Armada Music is a Dutch record label that specializes in releasing electronic dance music, primarily trance and house, co-founded by Armin van Buuren.[1] Armada Music is an independent Dutch record company and was founded in June 2003 by Armin van Buuren, Maykel Piron and David Lewis. "Armada" was formed by utilizing the first two letters in each of the founding members' names. The approach to combining everything music related in one company has attracted several top names to the label as; Chicane, Markus Schulz, Remy, M.I.K.E., Aly & Fila, Perry O'Neil, Max Graham, Mischa Daniels, Nick K and StoneBridge, who are all responsible for the A&R activities of their own label within Armada Music, while van Buuren himself deals with A&R activities for the Armada labels: Armind and A State Of Trance. Armada Music currently has 27 different sub-labels representing many different types of electronic music. In a move to combat piracy, Armada released a statement to DJs asking them not to include more than 2 minutes of any Armada and/or its sub-label tracks on their podcast.
