In between the acoustic melancholy and the hard rock that has been dominating the music scene in Stavanger, there is a band with the ambition to continue the oil-capital’s proud pop-music traditions. Gazing across the Norhern Sea Arlie Mucks have picked up most of their musical references from Great Britain and bands like Radiohead, Oasis, The Smiths and Arctic Monkeys. Combined with their own take on today’s music scene the result is a melodic mix of 90s Britpop and modern indie rock. After their debut the group has been extremely active in the local music scene, and have been noticed by both local press and the (Norwegian Public Broadcaster) NRK Urort crew. There is A lot of people are therefore anticipating their first production; a five track EP that is to be released on December the 22nd.
