The name Arjen Anthony Lucassen is a benchmark in the progressive music scene. Supersonic Revolution is a project that shows another side of Lucassen, a relaxed and fun one with one simple mission: to rock, loud and hard. It arose from a request by German magazine Eclipsed for a cover song of ZZ Top, which would be included on a cover CD. Lucassen assembled a full band of his favorite musicians around The Netherlands within half an hour. After recording the song, they felt the unique vibe that would culminate in The Golden Age Of Music, an album that should be understood as a celebration of 70s music and an exaltation of everything that made that era memorable. "The guys are all younger than me - around 30 - so they weren't even alive yet in the 70s.
