Areti Ketime (b. July 26, 1989), began playing santouri from the age of 6. She grew up in a family closely connected to the traditional music and celebrations of Greece. Thus she was exposed to music in a completely natural way from her earliest childhood. At the age of 15 (in 2005), she became a professional performer, playing a broad spectrum of Greek traditional music, both as a singer and as a santouri player. Ketime turned professional in 2005, and began playing with her own group of musicians. She has appeared in many concerts themed on traditional Greek music, performing in a broad spectrum of both Greek traditional music (singing and playing), as well as classical.
