Artist
Archer's New Rival is an action packed hardcore band based out central Florida. Since the band came together in early 2005, they have been impressing everyone that was paying attention. They played their first show in May 2005, a battle of the bands in Tampa, Florida, which they won. The original lineup of the band consisted of Ceasar Pentzke as main vocals. In March 2006, the band replaced Pentzke for their current vocalist and screamer, Alan Harmon. The band is currently composed of five members. Alan Harmon; vocals & screams, Matt Troy Jones; back-up vocals & guitar, Daniel Stoner; guitar, Billy Hawkins; bass, and Drew Medieros; drums, back-up vocals, & screams. Since their start as a band, they've had tremendous opportunities. They've played with bands such as Yellowcard, Thrice, Atreyu, Story of the Year, Deftones, Acceptance, As I Lay Dying, Pink Spiders, Summer Obsession, Forever Changed, The Receiving End of Sirens, Funeral For a Friend, Dave Melilo, American Eyes, Street Drum Corps, Greeley Estates, The Smashup, Flyleaf, The Showdown, Hot Vegas, Shadow Agency, Beneath These Words, Showoff and Between the Trees. They are also Alternative Press's "Unsigned Band of the Month" for March 2007.
