Arc Duo Larissa, GR Παπαγεωργίου Χρήστος – Violin Κωστούλης Γιώργος – Contrabass , Cello , Vocals. It is a musical scheme whose historical life begins in the last years of 1970 with the development of “Halki Collective” quartet which consists of musicians from Halki, a village near Larissa. From 1978 until 1985 they play in many Greek cities as a quartet but they have also come in cooperation with other musicians who have as a particular musical object the free and structured improvisation. Their record “ HALKI COLLECTIVE” has been sent around and they have participated in the record “ SOUNDS OF WINTER “ . The two musicians play together as a duo since 1987. During 1994 they produce their record “ SOUND SCENES “. The pieces of the record and the specific musical tone that it expresses have been developed in the beginning of 1992, when they made an effort to find out a new musical identity and reset the musical expression of Arc duo members. The musical stuff, part of which is in this record is created after improvisations during musical meetings which are recorded and elaborated until they get an almost stable shape. Influences are received by the international music’s spectrum. The procedure, from the first conception , performance, elaborations and last form of the pieces moves around the axis of creating imaginative pictures which is achieved through a game of the real and the imaginative side of the two musicians with in a continuous passing from the conscious to the
