The band grew up in Udine, Italy 1994: their first intention was to use the power of traditional music to make people dance and party: the musicians were all convinced that folk music was becoming too intellectual and was losing touch with people. Their name, “Bad Weeds” in the Friulian language, is a comment on the bond between the band and its homeland. They began playing all over (over 500 concerts in 14 years) beginning from pubs and small villages fairs and concluding with big festivals in Italy (Folkest, Onde Mediterranee, Etnica, Ariano Folk Festival, Mediterran Festival), Europe (Switzerland, Austria, Slovenia, Sweden, Croatia, Serbia, Bosnia, Spain) and South America (Argentina and Uruguay).
