Aqvilea is an Italian symphonic metal band founded in 2016 by composer and multi-instrumentalist Pier Lando Baldinelli. The band's name refers to the Roman city of Aqvileia and the whole concept is inspired by cinematic soundtracks, lyric opera and ancient history. The first album Beyond the Elysian Fields (Saturnia Records 2020) has been recorded between Italy and Sweden and produced by Fredrik Nordström.
