April Taylor is an American country singer born in Bristol, Tennessee. Taylor first gained attention through a local radio competition. She and two other finalists were selected to perform for an audience of 3000. Performing one of Jaci Velasquez's songs, she was the winner of the contest. Her debut album is titled I Wanna Live Like That. One of the songs on the album, "Hero at Home", is a tribute to the wife a U.S. soldier sent abroad.
