about

Heavily influenced by the post-hardcore scene, Chase brings both dynamic melodies and lucid screams to the forefront of this powerful group. Drawing inspiration from guitar legends such as Satriani, Hammett, and Dimebag Darrell, Neal’s crushing leads are impactful, and sit tastefully over the gritty guitar playing of Jon, who comes from a punk music background. As a solid foundation, Christian brings a heavy sophistication to the low end, in the style of Tool and Alice in Chains. Tying it all together with both precision and groove, Rajan dominates the kit in a manner similar to Rage Against The Machine and Mastodon. Since its inception, Approaching Fiction has performed all across the west coast. From the House of Blues in San Diego, to The Whisky-A-Go-Go in Hollywood, all the way to The Cheyenne Saloon in Las Vegas. They have shared the stage with big names such as Paul Di’Anno of Iron Maiden, Steven Adler of Guns ‘N’ Roses and Tim Lambesis of As I Lay Dying. Approaching Fiction pulls from their own real life experiences to create a wide range of lyrical themes that fans can relate to. They are sure to bring a powerful and energetic sound to the hard rock scene. User-contributed text is available under the Creative Commons By-SA License; additional terms may apply.
