Antonio Della Marina is a sound and media artist from Italy. Graduated from musical and performing arts (DAMS) Università degli Studi di Bologna, he focalized his studies on American experimental music, minimalism and the correlation between sound and images. Della Marina's activity in sound art through live performances, web-based projects and sound installations dates to 1999. He has exposed his music in theatres, alternative spaces and international art festivals (Italy, Austria, Spain, Portugal, Eastland, Czech Republic, Slovenia, Bosnia Herzegovina), has given workshops and lectures at Museo Pecci of Prato, the GAMO Association in Florence, the Accademia di Belle Arti di Venezia. Teamworks include projects in collaboration with Paulo Raposo, Klaus Filip, John Grzinich, Francesco Michi. He is member of international institutions which support the sensivity for the sound's phisycal properties and the sonic enviroment including the Mela Foundation of New York and the Forum für Klanglandshaft of Basel. From 1999 to 2004 he's been the curator for the sonic settings of the multimedia IX Century Museum at the University of Bologna, sound installations and interactive enviroments has been made by Antonio Della Marina for Università Federico II di Napoli, Triennale di Milano, Futurshow, Biennale di Architettura di Venezia.
