Self described "music nerds" from Ottawa Canada, whose self produced debut CD was released in 2006, and later on in 2007 reissued for wider distro by Ropeadope records. Their melange of traditionally jazzy quartet sounds also juxtaposes hip-hop affectations with electronica, ambient soundscapes, and ideas lifted from drum n' bass and afrobeat. Formed in 2003 by Chris Naylor (Guitars, Trumpet and Effects), Dave Halabisky (Saxophones, Keys and Flute), Ash Shabnavard (Upright and Electric Bass, Samples and Effects) and Alan Reain (Drum Kit, Percussion and Programming) together they create a sound that ripe for urbane martini lounges, movie soundtracks, college radio and even ol' school jazz clubs.
