Antiseptic Beauty were an indie band from Derby, United Kingdom, that formed in 1989. Originally a 5-piece jangle indie-pop band called Evergreen, they were influenced by bands like Felt, and the 'C86' sound, going round at the time. There was also a small 'Derby scene' developing at that time which was lead by the mighty White Town and also later included bands like The Beekeepers. Initially jangly, indie pop in style, they gradually developed into a slightly harder, pychedelic, rock sound and a good example Skywards can be found on the compilation CD LE 1, released by Trashcan Records; widely received throughout the East Midlands via CLAG magazine in 1993. Still the greatest band Egginton has ever known! Stephen Lawrence from The Telescopes produced their 1993 EP Rising - ATF They had some record releases on various European indie labels, but eventually split around 1996.
