Anti Social Commentary

Anti Social Commentary were an Australian alternative rock band. The band was formed by vocalist/guitarist Trevor Petrie, drummer Brian Hosking, and bass player Benjamin West (later to be replaced by Steve Myers). The band was based in the goldfields city of Greater Bendigo, Victoria. The band was known for their eclectic style and dynamic performances. The band recorded their first EP "Pray for Friday" in the Gary Dewar Music Studio. The EP was released on June 30, 2004 and was produced Bruce Armstrong and Hans Meinig. A video for "Pray for Friday", partly filmed at picturesque Mt Alexander, appeared on the "Unity Point" DVD. In 2006 the band released their second EP "Everything you want to achieve" which was recorded by guitarist Andrew Barnes who had joined the band in 2005. The band performed throughout Central Vicotria, and Melbourne. Production of a full-length album to be titled "The Anti Social Commentary" began in 2007. Unfortunately, during production the recording suffered several setbacks including problems with the quality of the drum track audio, then a catastrophic hard disk failure where the session files for the album were lost. In 2018 a "Phoenix" folder was located on an old hard disk in Petrie's garage. To his surprise, the folder contained a long-forgotten export of eight of the ten tracks in a near-finished state. Despite being unfinished, the album was released under the title "Fragments of the Lost Album". With new bass player Steve Myers, the band
